(including knocking up his own soundfont with Viena if necessary). he can keep the flexibility of what he has on the keyboard while it remains in 'composition' stage, finalise with whatever he wants afterwards, including downloading a mega-killer piano soundfont - or whatever else. (Plus the XG sounds would probably not be his keyboard's best piano or guitar sounds to begin with.)yeah but by the sound of it, it will get him quite close to his objective, and he still has a few variations of any sound to choose from once it's transferred over, and the rest can be 'post-production'. But it will not mean that the piano sound will sound like the Yamaha's piano sound or that the guitar sound will sound like the Yamaha's guitar sound.
